2013 White Mountain National Forest Quarter

The obverse (heads side) features the familiar image of George Washington by John Flanagan, restored to bring out subtle details and the beauty of the original.

The reverse depicts Mt. Chocorua, the easternmost peak of the Sandwich Range within the White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire, framed by birch trees.

This was the first quarter released in 2013 and the 16th overall in the America the Beautiful Quarters series, which began in 2010 and features designs honoring national parks and sites.
